Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon (or 1 packet) yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup olive oil
Directions for Dough
- Put warm water in a bowl, add yeast, feed sugar to the yeast.
- When it bubbles (about 10 minutes), add oil.
- Combine salt and flour. Add to the yeast mixture.
- Cover with wax paper and then a large dish towel to keep warm.
- Let the dough rise for about an hour.
Preparing Pizza
- Turn out the dough onto a floured surface. Divide dough into thirds (you can divide it into halves or quarters if you want the pizza’s larger or smaller).
- Roll out the dough until thin, then transfer to a pizza pan or baking sheet covered with a Silpat or parchment paper.
- Top with whatever toppings you want. Bake at 450 degrees for approximately 15 minutes.
